RNs with Non-Nursing Bachelor’s (NNB)

Applying to MSN and DNP programs with NNB

This option is designed for licensed registered nurses who have completed an AS in Nursing or diploma nursing program and have earned a bachelor’s degree in a discipline other than nursing. Students who plan on enrolling in a full-time graduate program must complete the following prerequisite courses the semester prior to beginning graduate coursework or progression in the program will be delayed.

  • NUR 3805 Dimensions of Professional Practice (3 credit hours)
  • NUR 4637 Public Health Nursing (3 credit hours)
  • NUR 3165 Nursing Research (3 credit hours) 


Students who want to become nurses and have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher in a discipline other than nursing should consider the Second Degree BSN program.
