Admission to the College
Undergraduate Admission Requirements
(only until 2008-2009)
Attention Prospective Students:
UCF College of Nursing has amended its admission and application requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. These changes are effective for students under the 2009-2010 undergraduate catalog. Students who entered UCF during previous catalog years, i.e. prior to Summer 2009, will be held accountable for their catalog requirments.
Separate admission application required
Admission is highly competitive. The BSN is an upper-division (junior-senior level), limited-access major. Declaring nursing as your major does not automatically guarantee admission into the nursing program, nor does it enable you to take upper-division nursing courses. Candidates must apply separately to the College of Nursing. Students who are selected for admission will receive an acceptance letter from the College of Nursing.
Prior minimum application requirements (2008-2009)
These minimum requirements apply only to current UCF students who entered the university under the 2008-2009 undergraduate catalog:
Acceptance to UCF under the university's 2008-2009 undergraduate catalog.
-
Meet minimum overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (meeting this minimum GPA requirement does not guarantee acceptance).
-
Complete five of the nine nursing prerequisites (three of which must be biological sciences) with a grade of “C” (2.0) or better by the program application deadline.
-
