Scholarship Opportunities
Winter Park Memorial Hospital and Auxiliary Nursing Endowed Scholarship:
In 1985, Willard Wisler, then administrator of Winter Park Memorial Hospital (WPMH), established an endowed nursing scholarship at UCF. Twenty-three years later, the hospital’s volunteer group, known as the WPMH Auxiliary, generously donated an additional $25,000 to the endowment, thereby creating the Winter Park Memorial Hospital and Auxiliary Nursing Endowed Scholarship. The award is part of the auxiliary’s ‘Light of Hope’ scholarship fund and will be awarded annually to a deserving nursing student who meets the application requirements below.
Application Requirements:
- Applicant must be enrolled at UCF in the College of Nursing.
- Applicant must hold and maintain a minimum 2.75 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicant must be pursuing a career in nursing.
- Preference will be given to applicants residing in Orange and Seminole counties.
- Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
- The criteria for awarding the scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by UCF's Office of Student Financial Assistance.
- Applicant must submit scholarship application, degree audit, essay and resume.
- AWARD: Varies, depending on availability of funds.
