Scholarship Opportunities

Dr. Jean C. Kijek Doctoral Student Endowed Scholarship:

Established in 2009 by Dr. Jean C. Kijek, the college's associate dean of graduate affairs, to assist advanced practice nurses who are pursing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in nursing.

Application Requirements:

  • Applicant must be enrolled as a full or part time graduate student in the Nursing PhD program.
  • Applicant must hold and maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA in the program.
  • Applicant must submit an essay describing their professional goals (500 words maximum).
  • Applicant must submit a degree audit, and a resume listing their community service, extracurricular activities, clubs, organizations and volunteer activities.
  • AWARD: Varies - depending on availability of funds
